Customers can pay child support at 7-Eleven

The California Department of Child Support Services this week launched a new payment option for cash-paying customers called PayNearMe, agency officials announced.

It allows customers to make cash payments at any of the more than 1,600 participating 7-Eleven stores throughout California, including Vallejo’s, and others across the country.

PayNearMe is the second cash pay option made available this year, agency officials said. The first was MoneyGram, which child support customers have used to pay more than $2.4 million in 9,000 cash payments since January, they said. Department officials are exploring even more options, they said.
